DJ Dan was an incredible MC and DJ! He really made our wedding night flow smoothly! Dan is a superb DJ and entertainer! He was great to work with, communicative, and really had a keen sense of what our style and vibe was – we had our wedding 5 months ago, and we STILL have so many guests rave about how amazing Dan was! We are so grateful for the fantastic atmosphere he provided, the amazing music, and how accommodating he was when we had a last minute change of plan for end of the night activities 🙂 We also booked the Party Pix Photobooth through Dan and Magenta was so so lovely operating the photobooth, keeping the vibes up, and helping us to print multiples of each photostrip! Guests also recieved digital copies, and so do we have digital copies of all the fun everyone had with it! We could not recommend Dan and Magenta more!

DJ Kerry from Spinning Disc Entertainment DJ’ed our wedding on 8/2/25.The dancefloor vibes were really important to us, and Kerry did not disappoint! We have so many wonderful core memories already of dancing with each other and with family and friends. We hired DJ Dan for our wedding on the 11.04.26 and were very happy with the service provided. He provided music for both our ceremony and reception – he did an outstanding job choosing and mixing the music throughout the night! We had children at the event and he was able to adapt the music throughout the night to suit everyone of all ages. He was very engaging and was able to get people up dancing for hours! He also did a fantastic job choosing music during the quieter moments, creating the perfect atmosphere. Every request we made came to life exactly how we envisioned.What really stood out was how thoughtful and organised he was. Before the reception, he came over and had a quick discussion with us to walk through what would happen. Throughout the night, he continued to check in and keep us informed about what was coming next, which made us feel so comfortable and at ease.Jay was absolutely amazing. She followed all instructions perfectly, and her performance during our first dance was unforgettable. She learned a song especially for us and honestly sang it even better than the original—it completely blew us away. From the very beginning, the whole process of hiring him was so easy and completely stress free, which made such a difference when planning our wedding.On the day, he was absolutely incredible. He was also so lovely to deal with and constantly checked in to make sure Jordan and I were happy with everything.And the dance floor — he absolutely nailed it! From the start Dan was helpful and patient with guiding us through what needed to be done, how to do it, and when to do it (turns out there’s more to booking a DJ than just paying them haha). We were able to schedule calls in our own time, and he helped us plan our day, including song suggestions for various elements of the night. He worked with our MCs to coordinate when to play songs and to gauge the crowd, and he made sure to play what we liked (and avoided songs we asked him not to play).We also booked Velvet Soul, an acoustic pianist and singer, who received raving reviews from our guests when she performed during canapé hour. Dan was our touch point to help coordinate her services and songs, so it was nice and easy on our end.All in all we had a great experience with Dan and Velvet Soul and would recommend to anyone contemplating a DJ and/or acoustic singer!

Dan and his team truly made our wedding songs special! We had Dan as our DJ and an amazing acoustic duo for our cocktail hour. In the lead up to the wedding we had a meeting with Dan to understand what we wanted from the music for the day and he nailed it!The duo for cocktail hour set the mood perfectly!Then Dan for the dance floor. It was pumping all night. There was never a moment the dance floor wasn’t full. We couldn’t have had a better experience. We also used the service where we had our guests using his super 8 camera and had the footage made into such a special video that we have just watched and have so many happy tears. My wife and hired DJ Dan for our wedding.We just watching our wedding video and was reminded by how amazing our day was! One one of the reasons it was so amazing was thanks to Dan. His energy was infectious. His ability to have the room locked in was truly incredible. Dan was absolutely amazing, he made sure that all the music during the ceromony played smoothly and the communication between all of our vendors ensured the night was perfect. The photobooth was a huge hit on the night and the tape edit was the perfect touch. Everyone the next day said that it was a fun wedding and that the songs played were all “vibing”. Dj Dan really IS your man!!From the moment we met Dan at the start of our wedding planning process we knew we had picked the right man for the job!Dan professionally guided us through creating the perfect timeline for our night ensuring we had every song sorted for all those special moments. He went out of his way to ensure we could incorporate a mix of Italian favourites while still pumping out the bangers we all know and love and getting that dance floor to its fullest capacity!Dan was also our MC for the night and we couldn’t have asked for a better MC!! He had everyone laughing all night with his quick wit and expert humour! If you’re going for a relaxed, fun and party til you drop wedding reception this guy will make your night that much better!And sometimes not everything goes to plan on your wedding day much like ours. The venue was ridiculously late/ slow with feeding our guests which caused us and our guests a fair bit of stress however Dan played a MASSIVE part in saving our night!! If it wasn’t for Dan keeping the vibes high, interacting and engaging with our guests through the scavenger hunt game and keeping the belly laughs rolling in our night would have been different! We had Dan DJing and MCing our wedding including ceremony, cocktail hr + reception and he was fantastic! Super easy to communicate with prior and was especially great at rolling with the punches on the day with all the “surprises” from family members messing up our timeline! Nonetheless Dan was professional and calm plus his fun loving nature made the entire night feel as if it was running smoothly. I cannot recommended Dan enough the night would definitely have been a mess without him and we are are so grateful!

We had DJ Dan MC & DJ our wedding, and he was amazing, super easy to talk to and deal with in the meeting and planning process, he even bought a few things to our attention that we hadn’t even thought about for the wedding.We had a decent variety of music we gave to Dan, from club dance & EDM to RnB, Trance, Pop Punk and more. Pwoahh! What a night and spinning disc delivered! We had DJ Dan and he was so good. We had guests raving on about the music and it was all delivered so professionally. I requested some Latino music which was perfectly blended in with other more popular songs. The whole process was seamless with initial interview to get a feel for what we were looking for to feeling out the crowd on the night to make sure everyone had a good time. If you’re on the fence about getting a dj vs a Spotify playlist, go with spinning disc! They mix in the best part of a song so it’s a constant high and the music transitions are just on point.

Amazing from start to finish.We arranged for the incredible Singer Jay to serenade us down the isle, Jays acoustic performances through the early evening were brilliant, guests were in awe of her talents! DJ Dan and Max on Sax performed at my husband and I’s wedding back in June, and it was such a bloody brilliant decision! From the very beginning, Dan offered such a high standard of professionalism asking all of the right questions and offering recommendations and song suggestions. I’d perused Spinning Disc’s Instagram so knew they came highly recommended, but the entire night when above and beyond all of my dreams for the night, which was for it to be memorable, special, but most of all, a party with songs that connected with all of our guests. Dan worked so well with our friend and MC for the night Ryan who hadn’t been an MC before, but Dan was super helpful in terms of giving him guidance and collaborating with him on the night. The whole night was complete perfection, and I wish we could do it all again. I still have guests raving about Dan and Max. Highlight of the night, was entering into our reception for the first time as husband and wife to ‘On a Night Like This’ by Kylie Minogue….epic. I think in particular as well what made our night so unique was the inclusion of Max on Sax. Volume was up, vibes were up, people were ALL up ALL night. Cannot recommend Spinning Disc and specifically Dan and Max enough.

There are no words that would justify how fantastic Dan and his team are. As a bride and Groom we were extremely nervous about planning a unique wedding that we loved and that our guests had a great time at. Does your price include set up and pack up time?

Yes, there is no extra cost for this.

Do you charge travel fees?

Yes, and they’ll be quoted up front before you book. Travel costs vary depending on the performer and your venue location.

Are you packages and hours flexible?

Yes, we tailor our packages to suit your wedding. Our performers have a minimum rate/time (eg. DJs are 5 hours), anything beyond that is flexible.

We don’t really know what songs we want for our formalities, can you give us suggestions?

Yes, we have a list of suggestions for songs that have worked at recent weddings for all the special moments including bridal party entrance, first dance, farewell and more.

How do I book a wedding DJ in Melbourne?

Get in touch via our contact page and Dan will respond within 24 hours.
From there you’ll have a planning meeting on Zoom to talk through your
day, then lock in your booking with a deposit.
