Dan is a superb DJ and entertainer! He was great to work with, communicative, and really had a keen sense of what our style and vibe was – we had our wedding 5 months ago, and we STILL have so many guests rave about how amazing Dan was! We are so grateful for the fantastic atmosphere he provided, the amazing music, and how accommodating he was when we had a last minute change of plan for end of the night activities 🙂 We also booked the Party Pix Photobooth through Dan and Magenta was so so lovely operating the photobooth, keeping the vibes up, and helping us to print multiples of each photostrip! He kept everything running smoothly and made the entire reception feel seamless. He also did a fantastic job choosing music during the quieter moments, creating the perfect atmosphere. Before the reception, he came over and had a quick discussion with us to walk through what would happen. From the very beginning, the whole process of hiring him was so easy and completely stress free, which made such a difference when planning our wedding.On the day, he was absolutely incredible. From the start Dan was helpful and patient with guiding us through what needed to be done, how to do it, and when to do it (turns out there’s more to booking a DJ than just paying them haha). We were able to schedule calls in our own time, and he helped us plan our day, including song suggestions for various elements of the night. He worked with our MCs to coordinate when to play songs and to gauge the crowd, and he made sure to play what we liked (and avoided songs we asked him not to play).We also booked Velvet Soul, an acoustic pianist and singer, who received raving reviews from our guests when she performed during canapé hour. Dan was our touch point to help coordinate her services and songs, so it was nice and easy on our end.All in all we had a great experience with Dan and Velvet Soul and would recommend to anyone contemplating a DJ and/or acoustic singer!

Dan and his team truly made our wedding songs special! We had Dan as our DJ and an amazing acoustic duo for our cocktail hour. In the lead up to the wedding we had a meeting with Dan to understand what we wanted from the music for the day and he nailed it!The duo for cocktail hour set the mood perfectly!Then Dan for the dance floor. It was pumping all night. There was never a moment the dance floor wasn’t full. We couldn’t have had a better experience. We also used the service where we had our guests using his super 8 camera and had the footage made into such a special video that we have just watched and have so many happy tears. He really listened to what we wanted, helped structure the timeline, and ensured all the formalities ran smoothly on the night.Noah’s live performance was absolutely beautiful and set the perfect tone for the day. So many of our guests complimented us on choosing him—his voice created such an amazing atmosphere.When it came to the music, every song my husband and I added to the list was played, and the vibe all night was exactly what we hoped for. My wife and hired DJ Dan for our wedding.We just watching our wedding video and was reminded by how amazing our day was! One one of the reasons it was so amazing was thanks to Dan. His energy was infectious. His ability to have the room locked in was truly incredible. Dan was absolutely amazing, he made sure that all the music during the ceromony played smoothly and the communication between all of our vendors ensured the night was perfect. The photobooth was a huge hit on the night and the tape edit was the perfect touch. Everyone the next day said that it was a fun wedding and that the songs played were all “vibing”. Dan was absolutely amazing for our wedding. We had him for DJ and MC and we couldn’t be more happier. Communication was great with an online meeting beforehand as well as being responsive to emails. Dan was fantastic to work with! From the very beginning, he was not only super friendly and professional but also guided us through the planning process before the wedding and executed everything perfectly from ceremony to reception; even when some formalities had to be moved a little earlier/later than scheduled! We knew we’d have unconventional song choices but he took all our requests in stride and killed it on the decks with some amazing mixing on the night. He was also very thoughtful and showed his experience when recommending that the dance floor be relocated on the day, to make sure that everyone had a great time. Dj Dan really IS your man!!From the moment we met Dan at the start of our wedding planning process we knew we had picked the right man for the job!Dan professionally guided us through creating the perfect timeline for our night ensuring we had every song sorted for all those special moments. He had everyone laughing all night with his quick wit and expert humour! If you’re going for a relaxed, fun and party til you drop wedding reception this guy will make your night that much better!And sometimes not everything goes to plan on your wedding day much like ours. The venue was ridiculously late/ slow with feeding our guests which caused us and our guests a fair bit of stress however Dan played a MASSIVE part in saving our night!! Pwoahh! What a night and spinning disc delivered! We had DJ Dan and he was so good. We had guests raving on about the music and it was all delivered so professionally. I requested some Latino music which was perfectly blended in with other more popular songs. The whole process was seamless with initial interview to get a feel for what we were looking for to feeling out the crowd on the night to make sure everyone had a good time. If you’re on the fence about getting a dj vs a Spotify playlist, go with spinning disc! They mix in the best part of a song so it’s a constant high and the music transitions are just on point.

Jay played some classic tunes which we loved.We had the pleasure of Dan not only being our DJ but MC.Dan is such a professional!! He ensured our entire day ran with ease proving helpful advice to guests throughout the night making sure we ran on time and taking away any pressures of running late.We loved Dans other little touches, games – getting the crowd involved and keeping the upbeat energy in the room with his classic mix of tunes that we and the guests loved.For all pre wedding planning We were able to organize and meet with Dan via Zoom with ease, he helped us walk through our ideas and plans to the wedding and put it into order. He provided his expert advice on things we were not sure of.Dan helped guide song selections and was able to create a amazing playlist that we and our guests loved, it had them all up dancing!!I HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone having a special event, the ability to have both the MC, photobooth and variety of music both acoustic and DJ under one space helped us immensely it took away the pressure of having multiple vendors from different companies to co ordinate.Thanks Dan, Jay and the team!! you guys rock!

RUN, DON’T WALK TO BOOk THESE GUYS IN.!!!We had DJ Dan and Max on Sax for our wedding on 02/11/2024.Dan was incredible, from our first interaction he was very laid back and professional and made us feel at ease. Dan MCd our reception and pivoted when there was a change in schedule, he helped everything runs so smoothly.There was not one miss on the music, we got so many compliments from our guests, he read the room perfectly!! Max on Sax added the perfect layer of fun as well! I would not hesitate to hire them again, they made our day so memorable and perfect!

11/10 – From the moment we engaged Dan we knew we were in safe hands. He was organised and professional and this shone through on the night where he met with the other vendors and ensured that the running of the night went extrodinarily smoothly. Then once the formalities were concluded, he showed his real talents as the DJ – boy oh boy did it go off! Our friends and family raved about it and its fair to say there’ll be some ongoing business from our circle for him going further. Music at weddings is crucial and Dan was superb in making our day easy and fun! We’re very greatful for his services.

Spinning disc entertainment DJ’s are the best! Our wedding had a party vibe all night. I request what genre of music not to play & we requested disco/ 80’s , 90’s & today hits & our DJ Karl hit the brief to a tea. Karl also accepted song requests, there was so many requests and Karl was more than happy to play them! He was a great MC. We liaised with DJ Dan for the lead up to the wedding, he was so helpful, replying to my many emails straight away with all the questions that I had. He helped beyond more than a DJ. He helped map out a timeline for the day & made my husband and I feel at ease and so comfortable. Would highly recommend Spinning Disc Entertainment, Dan is the best!

I had a great experience with Spinning Disc Entertainment. Dan sent me a lot of information and met me and my fiancé to give us an overview of how it all works. 3 weeks before the wedding we met Dan and DJ Karl to go through the entertainment run sheet. It was all very organised. On the day it went smoothly. Lots of guests went on the dance floor and had a fabulous time!

We booked Dan for our wedding night and we can’t thank him enough !!! He was extremely professional and awesome ! He always made himself available every time we had a query and always set up meetings that were needed without us having to reach out first. On the night Dan understood the vibe on the dance floor and ensured that he played songs that would keep people on the dance floor and partying !!! We sent Dan a massive list of song requests which he was able fulfil us making our night even more special. Dan was also our MC for the night and the way he spoke made us feel that he had known us for years and ensured that everyone was engaged throughout the night especially during the formalities of the night which were most important to us. My husband and I hired spinning disc entertainment for our wedding to perform as DJ and MC. Karl was assigned to our wedding and he was amazing. He kept the party going, had our guests dancing for a long time and played our requests. His song selections were a great mix as well ranging from dance/house/pop/rnb which was for everyone. He was also an excellent mc and made it very easy for my husband and I and our bridal party to enter without any nerves. He also made sure everything was on time with cake cutting, speeches etc. Dan was also great to deal with leading up to the wedding with meetings and planning and made sure we felt at ease. I would highly recommend spinning disc entertainment for any mc/dj needs for events!

We used Dan’s DJ services on our wedding night, he played everything that we requested and had great mixes of our favourite genres of music and was very professional and made the night truely memorable. DJ Dan and Max on Sax performed at my husband and I’s wedding back in June, and it was such a bloody brilliant decision! From the very beginning, Dan offered such a high standard of professionalism asking all of the right questions and offering recommendations and song suggestions. I’d perused Spinning Disc’s Instagram so knew they came highly recommended, but the entire night when above and beyond all of my dreams for the night, which was for it to be memorable, special, but most of all, a party with songs that connected with all of our guests. Dan worked so well with our friend and MC for the night Ryan who hadn’t been an MC before, but Dan was super helpful in terms of giving him guidance and collaborating with him on the night. The whole night was complete perfection, and I wish we could do it all again. I still have guests raving about Dan and Max. Highlight of the night, was entering into our reception for the first time as husband and wife to ‘On a Night Like This’ by Kylie Minogue….epic. I think in particular as well what made our night so unique was the inclusion of Max on Sax. Volume was up, vibes were up, people were ALL up ALL night. Cannot recommend Spinning Disc and specifically Dan and Max enough.

We could not rate Spinning Disc more highly! Dan was a brilliant MC and DJ and was so easy to work with. Dan provided a really helpful outline of what our night might look like, how to choose songs and was able to incorporate a photobooth in our booking (Fi was equally amazing!). We had Dan as our DJ and MC for our wedding last week and we can’t recommend him highly enough. In the first meeting with Dan where we had a bit of a get to know you chat, he made us feel comfortable straight away and was super helpful with suggestions and making all of the planning seem a little less daunting. On the night, Dan played to the crowd and people were up on the dance floor all night, dancing until our feet hurt and screaming songs until we lost our voices. He was a fantastic MC and had our guests pumped and laughing. He helped keep all our formalities running on time and everything went smoothly – Dan made it so easy for us to just relax and enjoy the night.

Absolutely impressed by the services provided by Spinning Disc Entertainment. Met with DJ Dan a few times prior to the date and he was patient, flexible and well organized. Being so experienced, he helped us structure our evening and had some great ideas and suggestions we ended up incorporating into our day.We hired Dan as our DJ as well as an acoustic duo and a roaming sax. They came with a beautiful setlist, and even learned some songs upon request. Everyone was incredibly talented, professional and created a wonderful atmosphere. There are no words that would justify how fantastic Dan and his team are. As a bride and Groom we were extremely nervous about planning a unique wedding that we loved and that our guests had a great time at. Dan from our very first meeting made me believe this could happen and it did!!! Not only was Dan a great DJ but he stepped in for us as our MC and our guests could not stop raving about him. We also booked a sax player and the boys especially loved him. Dan had our guests eating out of the palm of his hand. DJ Dan and his team were the best decision we made. I would use this company for any event I organize. Professional, accommodating and so much fun. Dan made sure everything ran on time and according to schedule, but it never felt like a schedule. We gave him a rough idea on what we wanted for music and let him do his thing and it was perfect. We only had two meeting ms over zoom, which was so easy, but the result you would have thought came from hours discussing things. They just know exactly what they are doing. Our wedding would not have been half as good if I didn’t have them. If you are in two minds or you have other options, don’t go any further than Spinning Disc entertainment. You will not regret it.
